47.7.3 Customizing X–Y plot size and shape

Use the Size options in the Chart Options dialog box to customize the size and shape of the X–Y plot.

To customize the size or shape of an X–Y plot:

  1. Locate the Chart Options.

    Select OptionsXY OptionsChart; or click , which is located with the X–Y plotting tools in the Visualization module toolbox. Click the Grid Position tab in the dialog box that appears.

  2. From the Charts field, select one or more X–Y plots whose sizes or shapes you wish to customize.

  3. Select one of the following X–Y plot sizing and shaping options:

    Fit to chart

    Abaqus/CAE fills the entire viewport with the selected X–Y plot, adjusting the shape of the plot to match the viewport dimensions.

    Square

    The Size slider becomes available, which you can drag to increase or decrease the size of the square-shaped X–Y plot.

    Manual

    The X and Y sliders become available, which you can drag to increase or decrease the size of the X–Y plot along either axis.

  4. Click Dismiss to close the Chart Options dialog box.
