To customize the appearance of X–Y curves, expand the Curves container in the Results Tree, highlight the curves you want to modify, then click mouse button 3 and select Curve Options from the list that appears. You can customize the line style, symbol style, and legend text of each curve.
Only those curves that appear in the most recent X–Y plot are available for customization. You can customize the following:
The text that appears in the legend describing the data. For more information, see “Customizing the X–Y plot legend,” Section 47.6.3.
The appearance of the line representing the data (the curve). For more information, see “Customizing the appearance of an X–Y curve,” Section 47.6.4.
The appearance of the symbols along the curve. For more information, see “Customizing the symbols used on an X–Y curve,” Section 47.6.5.
To set the curve options:
Locate the Curve Options dialog box. You can open this dialog box using any of the following methods:
From the main menu bar, select Options
XY OptionsCurve.
From the Visualization module toolbox, click 
.
From the Results Tree, expand the Charts container, highlight the plot or plots you want to modify, click mouse button 3, and select Chart Options from the list that appears.
Use the curve options to select and then customize the appearance of the X–Y curves in the current viewport.
When you have finished customizing the appearance of your X–Y curves, click Dismiss to close the Curve Options dialog box.
