Use the adaptivity process editor to customize your adaptivity processes before submitting them. The settings are analogous to parameters of the Abaqus execution procedure. For more information, see “Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit, and Abaqus/CFD execution,” Section 3.2.2 of the Abaqus Analysis User's Guide.
To locate the adaptivity process editor, select AdaptivityEditadaptivity process name from the main menu bar. The adaptivity process editor contains the following tabbed pages:
Adaptivity
Use the Adaptivity tabbed page to specify the maximum number of analysis iterations and to select the run mode. For more information, see “Configuring adaptivity process attributes,” Section 19.10.2.
General
Use the General tabbed page to configure preprocessor printout and to specify a scratch directory. You also use the General tabbed page to specify any user subroutines that are referred to by the model and the output format of the results. For more information, see “Specifying general adaptivity process settings,” Section 19.10.3.
Memory
Use the Memory tabbed page to configure the amount of memory allocated to each of the adaptivity analyses. For more information, see “Controlling adaptivity process memory settings,” Section 19.10.4.
Parallelization
Use the Parallelization tabbed page to configure the parallel execution of an Abaqus analysis job, such as the number of processors to use and the parallelization method. For more information, see “Controlling adaptivity process parallel execution,” Section 19.10.5.
Precision
Use the Precision tabbed page to specify the precision of nodal output that is written to the output database during each analysis. For more information, see “Controlling adaptivity process precision,” Section 19.10.6.
You can also use the Abaqus environment file (abaqus_v6.env) to control the default value of many of the settings in the adaptivity process editor tabbed pages. For more information, see “Using the Abaqus environment settings,” Section 3.3.1 of the Abaqus Analysis User's Guide.
