19.8.3 Choosing the job type

To locate the job editor, select JobEditjobname from the main menu bar. Use the Job Type options in the Submission tabbed page to choose the type of job that Abaqus will run. You can choose one of the following options:

Full analysis

Select this option to submit a complete model or input file for analysis.

Recover (Explicit)

Select this option to resubmit an Abaqus/Explicit analysis that has previously terminated prematurely. This option is not valid for Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/CFD analyses.

Restart

Select this option to submit an analysis of a model that uses saved data from a previous analysis of the same model. The model attributes must specify the location of the saved data.

To choose the job type:

In the job editor, click the Submission tab to display the Submission tabbed page.
From the Job Type options at the top of the tabbed page, select the job type of your choice.
