You can use the Model Tree in the Assembly module or Mesh module to switch the context for part instances or for model instances and their child part instances.
In the Model Tree, select the instance for which you want to switch the context. If you select multiple instances, the context switches to the part or model for the first instance that you select. Click mouse button 3, and select Switch to part/model context. Abaqus/CAE switches the context as follows (depending on your selection):
In the Assembly module, if you selected a part instance or a child part instance, the context switches to the Part module with the original part from which the instance was created displayed in the viewport.
In the Mesh module, if you selected a part instance or a child part instance, the context switches to display the original part from which the instance was created in the viewport.
If you selected a model instance, the context switches to display the original model from which the model instance was created in the viewport.
