Description: The new C3D8S and C3D8HS linear brick elements provide superior stress visualization on the element surface by avoiding errors due to the extrapolation of stress components from the integration points to the nodes. These elements are available only in Abaqus/Standard. The improved stress visualization is obtained through a 27-point integration rule, consisting of 8 integration points at the element nodes, 12 integration points on the element edges, 6 integration points on the element sides, and 1 integration point inside the element.
